DINOSAURS will return to primaries after a fight to save them from near extinction.
Last year, The TES reported fears of Australian science show company Destination Education that the reptiles were in danger of disappearing from lessons due to the pressures of the national curriculum. The company said that it could not afford to bring its Dinosaurs at Large show 10,500 miles to England because schools had not responded in sufficient numbers.
However, Caroline Wreglesworth, science co-ordinator at Bedgrove infants, Aylesbury, was determined to give her pupils the chance to see the company’s display. She persuaded 25 schools to book the show and now the “terrible lizards” will arrive in January.
