What to call a collection of directors of education? This was the conundrum facing a group of people who gathered in Aberdeen for a recent leadership conference.
“A surfeit” was one suggestion. However, on further reflection and given the tendency to discard the post of director of education these days, it was felt better to describe them collectively as a “scarcity”, or perhaps an “excursion”.
