THE former principal of Donaldson’s College for the Deaf was given an absolute discharge at Edinburgh Sheriff Court after being convicted of assaulting a pupil. Davd Scott was cleared of six other charges.

Stuart Harley, a woodwork teacher at the school, was found not guilty of four charges of indecent assault.
