CHOIR schools are attracting fewer choristers because children prefer computer games to singing, according to the Choirs Schools Association. It revealed at its annual conference that the number of applicants has dropped by nearly a third over the past 10 years. Headteachers blamed the proliferation of Gameboys and the decline in the number of school singing lessons.
