A “new kind of school” for 3-14s is needed to replace primaries and secondaries, the Learning Unlimited consultancy says.

In its contribution to the debate, it suggests post-14 education should continue to be free of charge in schools or further education colleges, depending on the inclinations of students. Teaching would be opened up to members of the local community.
