The Sound of Music may be more than 40 years old but it’s still capturing the nation’s attention. This summer Graham Norton will be hosting a new BBC TV show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, searching, through open auditions around the country, for a Maria to appear in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new production which opens at the London Palladium in November.

If you too yearn to sing along to favourites such as “Do-Re-Mi” and “Edelweiss” then we have the perfect treat for you this week as The Sound Of Music sing-along edition DVD (RRP pound;12.99) and the collector’s edition DVD are now available on DVD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. We have 10 of the sing-along DVDs (which contain the fully restored film, starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, with new karaoke-style subtitles) to give away to TES readers.

For your chance to win just answer this question: The Sound of Music is based on the true story of which family? a) Von Trapp b) Robinson.

Mark your answer Sound of Music and send to the TES address or by email to friday@tes.co.uk. Remember to include your contact details. Entries close August 3.
