Regarding the plethora of acronyms in the sector (FE Focus, October 31), I suggest that LLUK should work with ABs to facilitate the development of an award accredited within the QCF on this vital subject.

If not integral to ITT, such a qualification should be a must for NQTs and renewed bi-annually through ongoing CPD.

14-19 Diploma documentation would provide an especially rich source of curriculum material. I treasure a recent UKCES doc for DDPs, which is peppered with the likes of PL, ASL, LOLS, LOLC, CLCAG, GLH, DECN, NEBPN, SSAT, NCSL and CEL (the last now part of LSIS, of course, together with the former QIA).
