I WAS proposing to be a history teacher via a postgraduate certificate in education, but due to a bad maths test result I will not be doing so.

I could have tried again next year but I have a phobia about maths so I said no. The profession is finding it harder to recruit qualty graduates, but then refuses people who want to be a teacher and who have relevant qualifications.
