THE Qualifications and Curriculum Authority has the worst record of paying creditors among education quangos. Two in five invoices received by the exam watchdog are not paid within the 30-day target set by the Government.
Next worst is the Adult Learning inspectorate, with one in 10 left unpaid.
The Department for Education and Skills (95 per cent of invoices paid on time) and Teacher Training Agency (97) are more reliable.
