Don’t try this at home

When the British Association for the Advancement of Science posted films of nine popular classroom science experiments on YouTube and asked pupils to vote on their favourite, the verdict was clear.

Video footage of three men creating rockets out of plastic film canisters and effervescent sodium bicarbonate stomach pills was the most popular, although that may have had more to do with the sight of one of three taking a rocket to the, er, goolies, shall we say. As they warn at the start of the video: “Don’t try this at home.”
