Always accompany your CV with a well-written letter of application targeted at the job in question.
Keep text short, simple and relevant. Use bulleted statements rather than full sentences.
Aim for good layout and understated quality. Avoid fancy folders, coloured paper, assorted fonts and photographs. They suggest a triumph of pretension over substance.
Don’t include anything that you are unable to demonstrate or justify at interview.
Never use a CV to avoid filling in detail on application forms. It drives many selectors mad.
