Key stage 3 students using Oxfam’s interactive website Milking It discover a whole set of political and economic problems. They get to know two dairy farmers, Mary in Jamaica and John in Wales, and find out about the threat to livelihoods posed by things such as subsidised milk powder. Then they can play Cowsequences and deal with a series of random events that might affect their herd. Writing a newspaper report on a world trade summit is a chance to show what they have learned.
