French police have charged the driver of a coach which crashed in the Alps in July, killing three Bolton schoolchildren.
Jim Shaw, 43, from Manchester, will appear in court in December accused of “involuntary homicide” following the accident, in which the hire coach plunged 60 feet into a ravine in the Savoie region of France.
Parents of the 38 St James’s School pupils who were on the coach have been told of the charge.
