A Fort William secondary and a dyslexia charity have joined forces to create an online bank of audio revision materials for pupils with additional support needs.
Lochaber High and Dyslexia Lochaber have organised and recorded them for Higher and Standard grade subjects. Pupils have the option of listening immediately to the revision notes, downloading them to their USB pens or mp3 players, or burning them to CDs for listening to while on the move. Subjects include biology, chemistry, geography, English, home economics, modern studies and history. Jim Sutherland, headteacher, said: “The site is aimed at pupils who have dyslexia to ease their burden at exam time when too much text-based learning can be a struggle.”
