Dyslexics can be capable mathematicians, said Professor Tim Miles, of University College Bangor. The first large study of dyslexia and maths showed that while dyslexics generally scored lower than other children and under-achievers, some were very successful, leading him to conclude that more could be doing better, given the right kind of teaching.
