A misprint in “In the know” (January 3), outlining the ASEKing’s Science Investigations in Schools project, has given rise to some confusion. With regard to getting evidence about the E-coli outbreak, we deem the “fair test” approach to be clearly inappropriate and not “clearly appropriate” as stated.
