Early-years help reduces risks

GOOD early-years services can help reduce the number of children with special needs when they start school, research shows. The early years transition and special educational needs project found that a third of the children were considered at risk of developing special needs when they arrived at pre-school aged three, but this figure had dropped to one-fifth by the time they left.
