To help primary and secondary pupils understand the impact of the south-east Asian earthquake, Save the Children has set up free resources on its website. Teachers can download a regularly updated fact sheet, a map showing the devastation, lesson plans, and assembly ideas for PSHE, citizenship, literacy and geography at KS1-3. There is a link to fund-raising ideas, encouraging pupils to help those affected by the disaster. Save is Children is also providing primary schools with the chance to get involved in long-term work in south and central Asia by signing up to School Link.
