Edexcel expands minds

Exam board Edexcel has launched a new qualifications programme that combines its respected BTEC brand with the hands-on learning of an apprenticeship. The BTEC Apprenticeship will be available from September and programmes will be offered initially across 15 different sectors including construction, hospitality, customer service, retail and engineering. Trevor Luker, managing director of work-based learning at Edexcel, said: “It’s clear that there’s real appetite in the UK for a different approach to work-based learning. With the launch of this new product, we have raised the bar in terms of delivery, assessment, teaching and learning.”
