“I couldn’t believe it. These are boys who avoid eye contact in class and never join in anything. Now they are buzzing!” The buzz is about French. The boys are 11. Their teacher at Montgomery School in Exeter, Trina Ferguson, has discovered the motivating power of videoconferencing (page 10). Have your students got the message yet?

According to Henri Matisse, “Colours win you over more and more. A certain blue enters your soul. A certain red has an effect on your blood pressure.”
