When a cow lies down, is it securing a dry patch of grass because it knows that we're in for a downpour? Or does it just have tired legs? The environment is apparently full of signs that all is well or not well in the world, and their interpretation is often rooted in folklore. But how much should we read into these 'bioindicators'?
