Girls are increasingly likely to be bullied by text message or email, according to academics from Queen Margaret’s university, in Edinburgh. They interviewed nearly 15,000 pupils over five years and found incidents of cyber-bullying had risen by six per cent. In particular, it had risen consistently among girls. Victims were likely to feel lonely at school and to have few friends.
