In your feature on colour (TES Primary magazine, October 23) the spectrum is said to have seven colours - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. In your colour picture, the band between blue and violet was not indigo. Indigo is the colour of blue jeans.
Also, why do we continue to insist that there are seven colours in the rainbow? Your article noted that the colours blend into each other and are not split into separate bands; nevertheless the resource emphasises this myth.
