With Copenhagen’s climate change talks fast approaching, all schools in the UK are being urged to speak out and tell world leaders about their concerns and solutions regarding this topic.
Through its 1000 Voices initiative, which is part of the International Climate Challenge project, the InterClimate Network has asked more than 24,000 schools in the UK to help them gather the views of young people. The project is also working with schools in Kenya and India and will present the young people’s views in Copenhagen in December.
The initiative includes access to an interactive resource for teachers to use with groups of children and young people. It guides teachers through a climate change workshop, suggests activities, and asks young people to submit their views on climate change, all at a click of a button.
Schools have until Monday to submit their “voices” to ICN at www.interclimate.orgchallenge.
