THE Construction Industry Training Board is launching research to find a way of boosting the number of Black and Asian young people in the trade. Only 1 per cent of its 9,000 trainees are from ethnic minorities. Questionnaires are to be sent this month to employers, trainers and colleges in the South-east, the North-west, Midlands, Scotland and Wales.
