Equally double standards?

ON THE SAME day as the executive of the Scottish School Board Association met in New Lanark to decide whether to give the pro-Section 28 campaigners the bum’s rush, some of its office-bearers attended the Glasgow launch of new national equal opportunities guidelines for parents.

The guidelines had been produced by the Equal Opportunities Commission in partnership with, aong others, the SSBA. Prominently displayed on page 20 of the booklet was an extract from the 1975 Sex Discrimination Act: “It is unlawful to discriminate against a person on the ground of their sex. Discrimination means less favourable treatment . . .”

Surely not another example of the SSBA being hijacked by another bunch of campaigners with their own agenda?
