Nine more football clubs have signed up to the Reading the Game scheme in which free books are distributed to schoolchildren. Arsenal, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Bournemouth, Charlton Athletic, Chesterfield, Crystal Palace, Hull City and Stoke City have joined 12 other Premiership and league clubs in the scheme, which between them distributed 3,000 books to 900 children last year.
