CITIZENSHIP PROJECT Last November, primary and secondary pupils put their concerns to MPs - who included Martin Bell and Paddy Ashdown - in 11 constituencies. This year, to celebrate Universal Child Rights Day, a week of children’s constituency surgeries will be organised by UNICEF, supported by the National Union of Teachers. The project aims to inform children about the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and help them discuss democracy issues. Details: 0171 405 5592.
