The private and hidden territory of people’s living rooms is the theme of a free exhibition at the Museum of St Albans, Hertfordshire. It looks at how one house has changed over 80 years, how people used to light, clean and heat their living rooms, and how they entertained themselves - from the piano of Victorian times to the television of today. DECEMBER 3 AND 4 STORYTELLING AND CHRISTMAS WORKSHOPS Festive stories from the past for three to six-year-olds, 3-3.45pm, and children aged six upwards, 3.45-4.30pm, at Ragged School Museum, 46-48 Copperfield Road, London E3.
