BUILDING WITH SNAKES: THE PHYSICS OF LONG CHAIN MOLECULES

Shopping bags, spider silk, car bumpers, custard, washing-up bowls and climbing ropes are all made of polymers, the subject of this year’s Institute of Physics touring lecture for students aged 14 and above.
