“Do humans own culture?” and “To boldly go: the future of space exploration” (featuring Dr David Scott, commander of the Apollo 15 mission) are the subjects of Royal Society panel discussions on October 2 and 9 respectively, 6.30pm. The first, held at the British Academy, London SW1 to mark its centenary, will explore the extent to which human beings can lay claim to being the planet’s only cultured animal.
