Cystic fibrosis is just one of more than 5,000 disorders caused by a faulty or missing gene. The Jeans for Genes Appeal aims to raise Pounds 2 million to fund research and help build a Gene Therapy Centre. Organised by Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Fund and three other charities, the appeal invites staff and pupils to wear jeans to school and contribute Pounds 1.
