EVENTS The 10th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child takes place on November 29, and December 3 is the International Day of Disabled People. The working group Disability Awareness in Action is encouraging schools to join in with celebrations of diversity, unity and equality. Ideas include arranging speak-ups when disabled and non-disabled children can talk about their lives and arranging integrated events such as sports and discos. The dates available are February 14-21 and 21-28. Participants pay pound;250 registration fee and raise a minimum sponsorship requirement. Flights, food and accommodation are free.
