DRACULA WORKSHOPS.

Having made its London debut at the new Sadler’s Wells Theatre with Dracula, Northern Ballet Theatre has teamed up with the Theatre Museum, Covent Garden, London WC2, to provide morning sessions for school parties. These combine an hour-long NBT creative dance workshop, a tour around the museum’s theatre related exhibits and a half-hour Dracula make-up demonstration. WORDS AND RULES.

Stephen Pinker, professor of psychology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is giving the 1999 Lucent-Colin Memorial Lecture at Imperial College, London SW7, 5.30pm. His theme is that human language is made possible by “the arbitrary sound-meaning pairing underlying words, and the discrete combinatorial system underlying grammar”.
