Budding Tim Henmans in schools around the country are invited to join in the Bounceathon Challenge and raise money for Sargent Cancer Care for Children, the Cliff Richard Tennis Foundation and their school by using a racket to bounce a tennis ball as many times as possible.

Sponsors will nominate a set amount per bounce. Upon registration, schools receive an illustrated guide containing progressive exercises designed to teach children handeye co-ordination when developing their tennis skills in preparation for the competition, which begins in January.

The top fundraising school or club will win a package of Slazenger Mini Tennis equipment and a throw-down Mini Tennis court. Every child who takes part will be entered in a prize draw for a holiday for four at La Manga Club, Spain, where facilities include Europe’s finest tennis centre.

The challenge is supported by the All England Lawn Tennis Club, the Lawn Tennis Association, Slazenger and Dunlop among others.
