Every child has a story to tell

Primary schools throughout the UK are invited to sign up for the Young Writers Award, run by Cambridge University Press. All entries must be written in the first person and describe a real-life experience.

A maximum of eight entries per school of 200-plus pupils or five entries for schools with fewer than 200 pupils will be accepted. Lower primary entris must be no longer than 750 words; upper primary stories can have a maximum of 1,200 words. The closing date is April 6, 2001.
