Exercise to boost levels of literacy

Hundreds of five-year-olds in England are to be given a 10-minute routine of exercises daily in a bid to boost their literacy. The pilot scheme for 40 primaries is aimed at switching off redundant reflexes to allow children to focus better. The programme has been funded by the government-backed Education Endowment Foundation.
