As well as a full seminar programme, the Manchester exhibition provides education professionals with the chance to test, compare and purchase a range of resources and services from familiar names dedicated to teaching the under-threes, foundation and key stages 1-2.

More than 100 educational publishers and suppliers will be exhibiting the latest books, educational toys and ICT software and equipment.

Free ICT workshops

The following 20-minute sessions will take place at the ICT Workshop Zone on stand B12 throughout both days of the show. There is no need to book.

Further information will be available from the providers of the programme Into Action Computers on stand C10.

10.40 The interactive classroom - looking at a range of equipment and how to make the best use of it, with the latest research from BECTA.

11.00 Keyboard crazy - lack of keyboard skills has been as one of the reasons for children not achieving. This sessions will explore how simple games can improve pupils’ skills and boost literacy.

11.20 Individual learning programmes - introducing software developed by teachers that can be customised for local needslanguage groups.

11.40 Teaching control in the early years - robots in the foundation stage, and the language and social skills associated with control technology.

12.00 Electronic planning - introduction to the award-winning Curriculum Complete software from Skills Factory, for schools wanting to move away from paper-based planning, and offering more than 4,000 lessons.

12.20 Funding the ICT Revolution - new technologies like interactive whiteboards are making a difference to curriculum delivery, but many schools can’t afford them. So what about leasing options?
