(Photograph) - Pupils as young as 10 joined in GCSE results celebrations this week. Hannah Dayah, 10, Shailan Mehta, 12, and Vishal Thakrar, 13, took maths GCSE at Leicester Montessori grammar school. They will all go on to study maths A-level.
The trio are an example of the growing trend for entries from younger pupils, which has been spurred on by ministers’ proposals to overhaul secondary education and end “one-size-fits-all-education”.
