On November 8, exactly 100 years after x-rays were discovered by Wilhelm Rontgen, the Centre for X-Ray Science at King’s College London, The Strand, London WC2 is hosting a celebratory public meeting with free admission for sixth-formers and teachers. A wide-ranging but non-technical review of the development of X-ray science and technology will be provided.
Speakers include: Professor Andrew Miller, principal of Stirling University; Professor Ken Pounds, chief executive and deputy chairman of the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council; and Dr Richard Mould, author of Chernobyl - the Real Story.
