“Exploring global issues through children’s literature” is the theme of the “Your world, my world” conference for primary teachers, librarians and “all those supporting children’s language and learning” on February 3 2006 at the Institute of Education, University of London (tel 020 7612 6600).

Sessions include “The representation of Arabs in children’s literature”, “An exploration of literature to challenge stereotypical thinking” and water as a global education issue.
