THE Welsh Assembly has pledged pound;500,000 to improve the quality of PE in schools. A recent report by the Sports Council found that fewer than one in five primaries offers two hours of PE per week, and that most schools lack up-to-date sports equipment. The extra funding will be used for several projects designed to change attitudes towards school sports.
