(Photograph) - Eye for detail:Shetland young engineer John-Robert Eunson was declared overall modern apprentice of the year at the annual awards ceremony in Edinburgh last week. He is used to recognition, having already been awarded a medal by BP UK as its top apprentice. His plan now is to achieve a masters in engineering and then to become a chartered engineer. John-Robert described his apprenticeship as “the best thing I’ve done in my life”.

John Johnston, his team leader at BP UK, welcomed what the judges called the young apprentice’s “dedication, enthusiasm and commitment.
