Welcome to Big Brother Vardy-style (“Concern over spy cameras in class,” TES, July 25). Is this what schools are reduced to? Why must everyone be under the shadow of a potential lawsuit? Why can’t teachers be trusted anymore?
The good behaviour mentioned in the article seems to be due to the strict discipline regime at the school rather than because of the cameras.
Perhaps the CCTV, awful as it might be, is part of the hidden curriculum, a lesson in preparation for the outside world.
