The Department for Education and Employment has written to all chief education officers on the fascinating subject of Bovine Eyeball Dissection in Schools.
The letter says that “there continues to be no evidence that BSE (bovine spongiform encephalopathy) is transmissible from cattle to humans”.
Of course, the department’s view remains that there is, similarly, “no evidence” that large classes are educationally disadvantageous. Obviously no need to worry, then.
