A fair-trade feast for your class

https://www.tes.com/magazine/archive/fair-trade-feast-your-class-8
Students about to sit their A-level history exams at Rochester grammar school for girls, Medway, are the winners of this week’s bars. Their treat comes from teacher Cathy Warren, who is about to have a bone marrow transplant. When her condition was diagnosed a year ago she didn’t know whether or when a donor would be found, so after telling some of the Year 13 girls last October, she “piled on the work”. She was determined to make the most of the autumn term and ensure that exam material was covered before she had to stop teaching and go into hospital . The girls have been “very supportive” of their teacher, so good luck to everyone - especially Cathy.

If your class deserves a treat, email friday@tes.co.uk to tell us why, giving the name of your school. Mark your message Dubble offer. For information on fair trade, and details of how to become a Dubble agent, go to www.dubble.co.uk.
