A fair-trade feast for your class

Sheila Hirst’s class of seven and eight-year-olds at Mixenden county primary in Halifax have been busy over the past few weeks making “dubbles” of themselves. They’ve oiled each other’s faces Modrock (plaster impregnated into bandages) to make masks. They’re now into the final stages of adding hair and facial features in time for an “alternative” class photo later this term. It’s been messy, but worth it, says Sheila. A box of Dubble bars is on its way to Class 3 - with an extra bar for the school cleaner.

If your class deserves a treat, email friday@tes.co.uk to tell us why, giving the name of your school. Mark your message Dubble offer. For information on fair trade, and details of how to become a Dubble Agent: www.dubble.co.uk.
