Faster rate of improvement goes to prove my point

Owen John Thomas (TES Cymru, February 3) strongly criticises my views and my use of evidence (regarding the GCSE performance of English and Welsh- medium schools).

My point was that English-medium schools have been improving faster in recent years than Welsh-medium ones. His own table on the relative performance of the two sectors shows exactly that. Just what is his problem?
