The parent of a pupil at a Kent comprehensive has been bailed by police following an alleged assault on the headteacher and two senior members of staff.
Police were called to Southlands community comprehensive in New Romney last Friday during a meeting between the head, Eammon Cahill, and the father over a breach of school rules by his daughter.
The deputy head and assistant head tried to intervene during the incident and were also injured. The deputy suffered broken ribs, and the head and assistant head were treated for cuts and bruises.
Kent police say a man was arrested at the school for assault causing actual bodily harm and was bailed to June 13.
