Fathers prefer surfing to homework;In brief

Fathers who own personal computers are twice as likely to be the main parent involved in their child’s home learning, a new survey has found.

However, the NOP poll, commissioned by BT HomeCampus, indicated that only 10 per cent of fathers surveyed said they took the lead role in supervising homework set by schools, preferring instead more dynamic pursuits such as surfing the Internet.
